Bios of the Panellists
Mrs Lina Konstantinopoulou is the Head of European Policy at ICAEW. Previously she was working as Policy Director at Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry. She has successfully built-up and managed high-performing teams and led major change initiatives and key projects in transport. Mrs Konstantinopoulou holds a BA Honours in European Economics and MA Arts in Economics in international Trade & European Integration awarded by the Staffordshire University UK. She also holds an Executive Education certificate on Artificial Intelligence in Business awarded by Massachusetts Institute of Technology as well as an Executive Education on Leadership acquired by Stanford University.
Mrs Daniela Silcock is Head of Policy Research at the Pensions Policy Institute. She oversees the research conducted by the Policy Research team. She has a wealth of experience in conducting quantitative and qualitative research into all aspects of State and private pensions policy. Daniela writes articles for the national and trade press, and presents to domestic and international audiences, including radio and television appearances. Prior to working in research and policy, Daniela was a social worker with vulnerable adults and children. Daniela has an MSc in Social Policy and Planning from the London School of Economics.
Dr Harald Stieber is a macroeconomist in the Economic Governance Unit of the European Parliament. As a macro-modeller he has 24 years of professional experience applying economic policy analysis in academia, national administration (ministry of finance), OECD and the European Commission. He has contributed to the development of the EU's crisis management toolbox and has worked on the economic analysis of more than 30 pieces of EU legislation including the financial derivatives regulation (EMIR), the mortgage credit directive, the FF55 package, and the corporate due diligence directive. His work on reporting technologies has been instrumental for the development of the Commission strategy for supervisory reporting.
Bio of the Moderator
Professor Ania Zalewska is a Professor of Finance, Associate Dean of Research and Co- Director of the Cluster for Finance, Governance and Enterprise at the University of Leicester School of Business. She is a UK representative at the Management Board of the EU-COST Action on Fintech and Artificial Intelligence in Finance, and heads the Green Finance Group at the UKRI sponsored Land Use for Net Zero Hub. She has published extensively in world leading academic journals (e.g., Journal of Financial Economics, Management Science, Economic Journal, etc.) and advised various governmental bodies (e.g., Competition Commission, HMRC, FSA, DECC, BEIS, Committee on Standards in Public Life, National Infrastructure Commission).
