General Description

Raiffeisen Research is a diverse team of around 80 analysts based in Austria and 13 countries of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). Our products and expertise rely on continuous and close collaboration between the research teams in CEE and Vienna. Moreover, we are the exclusive provider to the Austrian Raiffeisen Banking Group regarding retail research.

People

Dr. Stefan Theußl (30%) - He is a Management Science and Data Science expert who has published more than 10 research papers and R extension packages, contributing a lot to open-source projects. He contributes to applied research and industry training, and supervises the ESR's 4 and 5. Furthermore, he is a member of the supervisory board.

Mina Sohrabi Moayd (10%) - She is working in the Research division of Raiffeisen Bank International AG since 2021 where her main interest is mathematical modelling and furthermore, she has extensive experience in designing and developing interactive and reactive user-centric web applications out of the division’s financial data. In addition, she is a member of the RBI AI Pioneers group, a dedicated team committed to exploring and advancing the frontiers of artificial intelligence for the financial services industry. In doing so, she is also contributing to one of the prime use cases of AI in the bank (Research Assistant).

Dr. Renato Rocha Souza (10%) - He is the Head of the Data Science Academy at Raiffeisen Bank International in Vienna and a lecturer at Universität Wien. With expertise in Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Digital Humanities, Renato is proficient in Python, SQL, and numerous data science frameworks. He has contributed to open-source projects and hold multiple certifications in machine learning and AI.

How we contribute to the MSCA:

Contribute data, training on financial research, and overall expertise in retail banking, asset management, covering Eastern Europe, Hosting ESRs, Transferable Skills Training, Research;
