Patricia Marcella Evite is an MSCA Doctoral Candidate at DIGITAL under IRP-9 "Audience-dependent explanations" of artificial intelligence and sustainable finance, hosted by University of Naples Federico II.
She earned her Master's degree in 2024 from the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's degree in Economics for the Global Transition, offered jointly by Universita Roma Tre and Sorbonne University. For her graduate thesis, she studied blockchain and solidarity economies in the indigenous communities of Kenya with Grassroots Economics, which won her the best research for her major. She received her B.S. in Economics in 2018 from the University of the Philippines.
Outside academia, she has served as an Economist for the Philippine Department of Finance and Philippine Competition Commission from 2019-2022. Patricia is also a Young Southeast Asian Leader's Intiative (YSEALI) fellow on economic development awarded by the U.S. State Department and University of Connecticut.
