About

Lukasz Kubicki has over twenty years of experience spanning central banking, banking supervision, and the private industry. As the Head of the Supervision Technology Section at the European Central Bank (ECB), he leads the innovation strategy and drives the implementation of cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence across ECB Banking Supervision. In this capacity, he has led high-performance, multi-disciplinary teams, catalyzing transformative change. Lukasz has a proven track record of overseeing projects that harness AI capabilities to enhance the operations of central banks and supervisory authorities. Since 2023, he has also served as Co-Chair of the SupTech and RegTech, and MonPolTech Working Group of the BIS Innovation Network. Prior to his tenure at the ECB, Lukasz held different roles at McKinsey & Company, managing engagements in strategy and digitalization within the banking sector. He earned his PhD in Economics from the Warsaw School of Economics.
