About
Lucia Gomez is an Assistant Professor at the Bern University of Applied Sciences and a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Geneva Finance Research Institute. Holding a Bachelor in Psychology and a PhD in Neurosciences, her interdisciplinary research expertise has Artificial Intelligence as its core. Currently, she focuses on leveraging AI for Philanthropy and Finance.
Key Achievements and Outputs
Three first or co-first publications applying state-of-the-art AI to neuroscience, cybersecurity, and sustainability. Three non-first-author publications in neurosciences. ERNOP 2021 conference best-paper award for AI-powered mapping of the Swiss philanthropic sector. Numerous in-press and working publications in the fields of finance, AI for philanthropy, cybersecurity, collective intelligence, non-profit and for-profit management, AI benchmarking, and LLM development. Industry collaborations leveraging AI for philanthropy (Stiftungschweiz), and management (MCI). With the UNIGE AI and Philanthropy team, Swiss pioneers in organizing and delivering applied AI workshops for philanthropy practitioners, the first AI for Philanthropy conference, and the upcoming AI for Philanthropy Handbook.
