Hanna Kristín Skaftadóttir is a Program Leader in Business Intelligence, an Assistant Professor at Bifröst University, and a Ph.D. candidate in Business Intelligence at the University of Iceland. Her research focuses on financial technology (FinTech), artificial intelligence (AI) in finance, and automation in auditing. She has extensive experience in economic analysis, business intelligence, and digital transformation, having past work experience with organizations such as Deloitte, KPMG, and Íslandsbanki. Hanna has contributed to European research initiatives, including the COST Action on FinTech and AI in Finance. She is also an executive board member of Hefring Marine an active MIT VMS mentor in startup and innovation ecosystems, and held a position as a board member for academia in the Nordic Smart Government and Business initiative. Her academic contributions include publications on AI in accounting, RPA, digital finance, and financial transparency, positioning her as a researcher at the intersection of finance and emerging technologies.
