Adriana AnaMaria Davidescu is Professor at the Department of Statistics and Econometrics, Bucharest University of Economic Studies (BUES), where she coordinates the Business Economics Data Science Lab (BEDSL). She is also a Senior Researcher at the National Institute for Scientific Research in Labour and Social Protection (INCSMPS). She earned her Ph.D. in Statistics and Economic Cybernetics (2011) and her habilitation in Cybernetics and Statistics (2019) at ASE.
Her research focuses on labour markets, informality, public policy evaluation, and machine learning-based econometric modelling. She also leads the Informality Data Research Lab (IDRL), where she develops advanced quantitative tools to support evidence-based policymaking. She has served as key expert and team leader in major evaluations of EU-funded programmes, including the evaluation of Operational Programme Competitiveness 2014–2020, the Operational Programme Human Capital 2014–2020, and the Partnership Agreement. At present, she coordinates the project on the evaluation of EU Funds Performance (2021–2027 Cohesion Policy), contributing to the development of forecasting tools for performance framework targets.
