General Description
The University of Twente (UT), located in Enschede, is the most entrepreneurial and leading technical university in the Netherlands, with a total of 17,000 in staff and students, and 1,200 PhD students enrolled in 120 PhD programs (department level). The department of High-Tech Business and Entrepreneurship (HBE) hosts 50+ academic staff and is involved in various educational programs and (inter)national research projects.
Research: Applications of AI in Finance are recurrent topics approached in seminar series and research proposals;
Training: Risk management in finance, cybersecurity in fintech and machine learning in finance will be taught to doctoral students; Running 10 doctoral schools and 25 doctoral training courses per year.
Industry cooperation: HBE collaborates closely with many Dutch companies, e.g. ING in the context of a joint professorship position
